As part of his turn toward artivist themes, Ralf Schmid founds the Soil Music Collective, premiering before more than 400 people at the Soil Sound Festival 2025. The collective explores the deep connection between music and nature, weaving this relationship through both lyrical expression and live interaction with the sounds of the soil. By listening to and performing with the earth itself, the group seeks to raise awareness of our shared ecological rhythms and the living resonance beneath our feet. Founding members are Beatriz Picas (vocals/cello), Torsten Krill (drums), Lino Schmid (vocals/guitar), Mathis Schwoerer-Böhning (synths, beats, vocals) and Tobias Herzog (trombone, tuba, sousaphone). PYANOOK takes his setup with Mi.Mu data gloves to a new level, combining them with synthesizers and beats.
A new ensemble is born. Embracing artivist themes, Ralf Schmid founded the Soil Music Collective, connecting music and nature.
